COVID-19
Parent Information

CALL 484.770.8490 NOW
The safety of your child, family, and our staff is Willowdale Children’s Academy’s number one priority. We are committed to all children and families who trust us to maintain the highest health and safety standards.
In the wake of COVID-19, we share the concerns of parents and neighboring communities. Therefore, we want to inform parents about the series of measures and procedures we put in place to mitigate the risk of transmission of the virus and other germs.

We thank you for your continuous trust and support.

Together, we will keep our communities healthy and safe and get through these trying times.

SCHOOL OPERATIONS
  • At Willowdale Children’s Academy, we follow the guidance and directives from the state of Pennsylvania, and local and federal health departments.
  • All of our schools are following the same procedures and protocols. All of our directors and teachers were trained and requested to enforce the same operating procedures regarding health and safety.
  • We enforce CDC-recommended preventative measures in all our schools located in Chester County and Montgomery County, PA.
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP
  • You are kindly requested to drop off and pick up your child at the schools’ entrance door.
  • At all times, you are kindly requested to practice social distancing with other parents, children, and staff members.
  • Parents will not be allowed to enter the building.  Parents are required to wear a mask during the drop-off and pick up procedures. At the main entrance, one of our staff members will proceed to a health screening with a contactless thermometer to ensure that your child has no fever. You are requested to stay with your child until they have been cleared and authorized to enter the school building. If your child experiences a fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit or other flu-like symptoms, they will not be authorized to enter the school building.
  • A designated staff member will take your child from the entrance hallway to their respective classroom.
  • For pick-up, a staff member will bring your child to the main entrance.
USE OF MASKS & GLOVES
  • We follow Pennsylvania’s state guidelines. All of our staff members are required to wear masks at all times while working on-site.
  • Our teachers are requested to wash their hands regularly throughout the day and wear disposable gloves when helping children or serving food.
  • You are required to provide a mask for your child if they are 2 years old of age or older.
WASHING HANDS
  • All staff members are required to wash their hands regularly during the day.
  • With the help of their teachers, children are encouraged to wash their hands multiple times during the day based on their activity.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
  • During drop-off and pick-up, parents are requested to practice social distancing and leave at least six feet between other parents, children, and staff members.
  • You are required to wear a mask close to our schools to avoid propagating the virus or germs to other adults or children.
  • We practice social distancing at school during the day. Your child will remain in their respective classroom or playground with their designated teachers.
  • We will be limiting different classes interacting with one another to avoid unnecessary risks of contamination.
CONTACTLESS TEMPERATURE CHECKS
  • We will use temporal or contactless thermometers to check temperatures.
  • All of our staff members are screened before entering the building and periodically during the day.
  • All children will be screened. In the event of fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, you are kindly requested to keep your child at home.
  • Parents suffering flu-like symptoms or fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit are requested to stay at home with their children to avoid contamination or risk others being exposed to those symptoms.
CLEANING PROTOCOLS
  • Our staff rigorously clean every classroom.
  • Toys, objects, and learning materials are sanitized regularly during the day.
  • We clean and frequently disinfect all surfaces. We focus specifically on all touchpoints and high traffic areas.
  • All surfaces are wiped down. Wipes are immediately disposed of in lined-trashcans.
  • We use EPA-cleaning products and disinfectants with a broad kill spectrum.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
  • If you or your loved ones have been in contact with people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or if you are unwell or experience flu-like symptoms, you are kindly requested to stay at home and self-quarantine until all symptoms are completely gone.
  • If you or members of your family have been diagnosed with COVID-19, please alert your school director or the school owner immediately and stay at home.
  • For more information, we ask you to refer and follow reliable sources. Please follow the CDC’s recommendations if you have been exposed to COVID-19.
  • If you traveled out-of-state, or in a neighboring state on the Pennsylvania travel quarantine list, please connect with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and follow their recommendations.
  • We thank you for your understanding and support to keep our communities safe. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our directors. To find the right contact, please check our location pages.
If you have more questions, please contact us to speak to our directors.
